Story of a poet: #8~You are just a Past~

No matter what I have been through,
I thank Allah keeping me true.

Into the gloom and soon the shadow mere,
I thank Him for letting the light somewhere near.

Now when I go back in time,
I wish I could change my past into highness of shrine.

And thinking back to the old memories,
Despite knowing the harsh miseries,

I have one thing to say at last
Had a good time, but now you are just a past!

  1. That past… is something you wont forget…. That past is something which will keep lingering no matter how much you change… That past is the thing that makes your heart still cringe!! that past is the one thing that at a single sight of the same will bring in floods of memories!!!! That past is the beautiful and luring but the very thought of it hurts and you never wanna go back!!!! I could go on n on……..

But this same past makes you guilty and pulls you back to the right track!!! Not leaving One string of hope you receive frm your faith in Allah!!! Then this past is the best!! As it just taught u a lesson, made you strong and showed you that people have many faces…. You have to just choose the ONE without much masks and that is the One closer to Allah (SWT) !

    1. Wow. This is what I’ve been missing from a fortnight. 🙂
      True that. Each word.
We never forget things. The only thing we can do is have patience.
Sabr pe jannat aese hi thode na haii. 😉
But, one thing is for sure.
The past can never be better than the future. Never. 🙂

      1. Haha…. That comment of mine turned out to be amazing! 😛 Lol.. it shows how much your post touched me dude! 😉 Hehe.. thank you!! I need to save those words now! 😛 Yes … True said, Patience is a key to success and as prophet (SAW) said: “A strong man is not he who defeats his adversary by wrestling, but a strong man is he who controls himself at the time of anger.” In sha Allah may Allah guide us through out! 😀

  2. Exactly. Why torture yourself over the past?
It was meant to happen for a reason. So it happened.
Instead of moving on and respecting Allah for his wisdom over qadr, why doubt it?
